Our 2017 Chardonnay recently won a gold medal at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.
This Chardonnay maintains an elevated acidity with a round mouthfeel. Aromas of pears and white peaches. Grapes from Livermore Valley. We like to say this Chardonnay is best of both world because it is fermented half in stainless steel and half in French oak.
This gold medal will join the shelf with our other San Francisco Chronicle Gold medal, awarded to our 2014 Izzy's Bordeaux blend.
We are excited to announce that our 2016 Pinot Noir won a gold medal at the 2018 Alameda County Wine Competition!
Our 2016 Pinot Noir is the second harvest from our estate vines in Sunol, CA. It has ripe red fruit aromas and a peppery dark fruit finish. A little bolder than our 2015 Pinot Noir but it's sure to please! Buy a bottle here.
Our 2014 Izzy's Blend won a gold medal at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. Izzy's Blend is a Bordeaux blend of 67% Merlot and 33% Cabernet Sauvignon made with Napa fruit. Each varietal was barrel fermented separately and then blended to perfection.

Because this event has been so popular, we will have two! Our first “Opera in the Vineyard” will be held at the Beautiful Nella Terra Cellars in Sunol, and then our second “Opera in the Vineyard” will continue the tradition in Livermore. Each venue will include unique performances of opera arias, show tunes and maybe even a little Cabaret. You may want to experience both. All ticket levels will have table seating. $25 of each ticket is a tax deductible donation.

“April and Craig were guests at two weddings that I was the photographer for this last year. After they picked their wedding venue, we met together and they decided to also have me as their photographer! We discussed their engagement session, and it came up that April had a horse. I grew up owning a horse as well, and we discussed the idea of having her horse invol...
The California couple kept it local for their wedding, heading to Nella Terra Cellars on April 4, 2015, with 254 guests in tow. With a stunning view, delicious wine, and ample space to host their friends and family for an open-air ceremony and a tented reception, what's not to love? "We wanted a wedding that was elegant and romantic, a little bit rustic, and with a hint of drama," says Janice. And they got exactly what they wanted! Nella Terra Cellars getting some press... "There are plenty of destination wineries, small boutique producers tucked into little valleys off the beaten path. But in the Livermore Valley wine country, Sunol’s Nella Terra Cellars stands alone."
