Our Story & Team
The Beemiller family started Nella Terra Cellars Boutique Winery and Event Center in 2014 as a benefit corporation. Benefit corporations are committed to creating public benefit and sustainable value. It’s a multi-generational family owned and operated business.

The family has owned the property since 1978 and wanted to share its beauty with others. We planted our first vineyard in 2013. The unique microclimate of Nella Terra’s valley provides an ideal environment for growing high quality California grapes. Our vines are grown with a combination of sustainable and organic practices. On our hillside vineyards, we grow varietals that are well suited for Sunol; Viognier, Pinot Noir, Petite Sirah, Primitivo, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Albariño and Syrah. With our prime conditions and terroir, these varietals produce rich and complex flavors when artfully fermented into wine.

We began hosting large private events in 2014. We are honored to have hosted hundreds of weddings and to have the opportunity to be a part of such a memorable, special day in each couple’s lives.

Gerry Beemiller
Founder

It was Gerry's vision that turned his backyard cattle pasture into a breath-taking wedding venue that thousands of people visit every year. You can often find Gerry greeting guests in the parking lot or sipping wine alongside guests in the tasting room.

Paulette Beemiller
Chief Beautification Officer (CBO)

She wears many hats - or should we say visors? Paulette works hard ensuring the grounds at Nella Terra are pristine for visitors. She can name just about every plant onsite.

Griffin Beemiller
Director, Wine & Operations

An engineer by training, this wine guy found himself entranced by the chemistry of winemaking and distillation. He manages the land, the tasting room and all things vineyard, wine and spirits at Nella Terra.

Whitney was married at Nella Terra in 2019. She’s been managing events for over 10 years and is ready to make your special day perfect. Her goal is seeing all Nella Terra couples happy.

Kendall Beemiller

Kendall was married at Nella Terra in 2018. She manages marketing and does event sales and venue management. She loves working in the natural beauty of Nella Terra everyday.
